We are a division of Sask Heritage Masonry, based in Regina and providing Heritage Masonry service throughout Canada.
CAP Masonry is pleased to have been recognized by the City of Regina for our recent work on the home of Aaron and Naomi Lynn.
Our staff has been schooled and trained in the Centuries Honoured trade of Stonemasonry and specializes in the use of Heritage Lime Mortars. We offer a complete cross-section of skills from Heritage Stone and Brick Repointing,
Repair and Cleaning to New Stone Cutting, Stone Carving and Brick and Stone Installation.
We are acutely aware of the need to understand the Geological Composition of the Substrate and use that knowledge in choosing the proper approach to a Heritage Masonry Project.
Our techniques and product usage in our restoration work is always environmentally conscious.
Our scope of work includes:
- brick walls
- chimneys and fireplaces
- stone foundations
- stone walls,
- cutting and installation of stone window sills & lintels.
- We also perform cleaning of brick and stone with the aid of environmentally friendly products.
CAP Masonry has been involved in the Restoration of some of Canada’s most revered Heritage Structures such as:
- The Library of Parliament,
- The Governor General’s Residence (Rideau Hall),
- Saskatchewan Legislative Building
- Victoria Memorial Museum Building
Our staff is trained in and closely adheres to the “Standards and Guidelines for Conservation of Historic Places in Canada“. This publication by Parks Canada has been pivotal in establishing a recognized standard in the approach to the Conservation of our truly unique Cultural Mosaic of Architecture.

MORTARS
An Important aspect of the Conservation of our “Built” Heritage is the proper care and maintenance of these magnificent structures.
The cornerstone of the construction and maintenance of these structures is the use of the proper mortars. Your mortar should always be weaker than your substrate (brick, stone, block).
We specialize in the proper use of Heritage Lime Mortars. Installation and Curing are keys in the use of Lime Mortars.
